    Wow! I love how this photo really shows the bird's wing structure. The photo seems a bit flat and underexposed to me. Was it shot at dusk or did it catch you by surprise so your exposure was off?

    Agree it looks flat. Looks to me as though it is desaturated - have printed the jpeg (not resized) from the first file after converting from Raw and have vibrant well contrasted colour. Cant imagine what happened here.
    I think I'll try again with this one using different resizing software.

    Did you make sure it was converted to sRGB before you saved it for the Web? That's usually the cause of undersaturation and low contrast on Web photos.

    Now that is a point - have never converted from Adobe to sRGB for posting on the forum before. Will give it a try but still remain uncertain as this, as I say, is the first time I have had this difficulty.

    It should be a very noticeable difference. Chances are, this is just a photo where the problem is extra noticeable.
