    It's Pelican Spring Migration time again!
    I missed the day they actually came in this year, but last weekend got them flying around. They hang out across the river from where I work at the barge terminal.

    They remind me of a swarm of bees or something when they fly. They sometimes fly so close to each other! Amazing they don't run into each other.

    HaHa, I like to reward all who take the time to edit, re-size, upload and post good shots.
    I think we all enjoy a pat on the back for our efforts to share and hopefully entertain.

    And yes I am a fan, if it weren't for peeps like you who post, very interesting shots, often this forum wouldn't be what it is.

    Nice captures!! White Pelicans are around here as well.
    They make such nice inflight shots!

    Those are some real cool formations. I especially like the pelicans in the bottom of the 5th shot.

    Mike.... I tried to do a crop of just those 3 close together in that shot you speak of. It just didn't look good enough super-cropped. That is definitely as close to one another as I have seen them get. Amazing.
