Let me know how this looks! 400mm F/5.6L on my 350D - ISO400, 1/500th, F/6.3 I believe

not too bad for such a hard subject. The black are blocked up and the whites seem blown in the head. Did you post process the image and if so how?

I used adobe photoshop CS2 with the regular RAW editor, and then reduced noise with NoiseNinja. I have the original RAW if you want to take a whirl at improving it.

I can see the detail loss with the exposure correction. My LCD isnt the best for post processing. :-( I should get a mini CRT for photos. 13" or something small. im loving my 22" widescreen too much to go CRT permanently. lol..

the more I think about it, I like the original better. **edited first post.

Detail looks good. A bit centered though. A slight lean to your left would have placed him better within the light spot of the background.

thanks for the learning tip. I'm always so conscious about the subject itself and its sharpness, that I'll completely forget about the background. Ill take that into more thought next time(I may go out again in a few minutes).
