Nice shot! Do you have a hard time taking photo's of black anmials? I have 2 black dogs (one is border collie and blue heeler so he is HARD to shoot, has a blue tinge to him in photo's)) and one black cat, for some reason it's very difficult for me, I take 20 photo's to get a few I like sometimes.

If you are having problems finding a crow just come on over to my house, you can sit in the backyard and see swarms of them.

I have a harder time with whites. I shoot in aperture mode set at f/8. If you post some pictures maybe somebody can tell you what you are doing wrong.
