    Horrible ice storm - no power for 14 hours

    we had an awful storm here yesterday, took out our power for 14+ hours. once the ice stopped swirling around outside I saw this. looks very menacing. this is about 90% correct as to how i saw it yesterday.

    I love what ice storms do for landscapes. Nice shot showing the "glow" of ice. I particularly like the background trees against the dark clouds.

    14 hours without power is not fun anytime of the year. Can't imagine now! At least the food wouldn't spoil

    the trees in the back looked dead in this lighting. right now everything is blazing white as the skys are clear. lemme go take a pic of that right now. quite the sight

    ok after taking these pics i think my lens is shooting soft.. :-( not getting that sharp crisp look to it.. :-P

    No icy tree up near me..... darn!!!!!! I do tree work and ice storms pay my bills in the winter

    theyre falling all over the place here. Ill get the craziest one tomorrow. its dipping over the street. if an 18 wheeler or moving van passed down my street, it'd surely hit it...

    My sister sent me pics of that storm yesterday! Her pics were not as nice as yours, though.
    Ice storms do make great photos. But I cringe every time I hear another tree crack.
