    Horned Lark
Yesterday as I sat for antelope, I took two photos of Horned Larks. They came and went the whole time I was there. Now I wished I had spent more time taking them as it was a slow day.

I did see a few antelope.

And I did have a couple of Badgers come in.

No comments? What the hell?! These are great photos - every one of them! I only wish I could see their eyes better. It seems like you underexpose a bit. But you could also pull some more detail from the shadows in post processing. These are cool photos of cool critters that most people never even get to see. You ought to gave the photos the best treatment you possibly can :)

Nice photos BB. Crisp and sharp. It looks like you were pretty close to that badger? He didn't mind you being so close?

Perhaps a fill flash would give you a catch light in the eyes? I've always wanted to try a flash extender when shooting with a telephoto lens. I've read that they work pretty good for wildlife shots.

spotwin,I was in a blind, at a waterhole, or otherwise the would have run the instance they saw me.
I was sitting, mainly for antelope, and they are one critter in which you can use a flash or they will blow so fast. Even the small focus assist light will scare them if you leave that on.
