Well not a single one of those ducks is a wild migratory mallard I bet, so baiting is aloud ;) Alot of mallards in my area are the same (wild, but not a true migratory mallard).

Firstly, great shot, love the way you have taken this, but i have got to ask, how can you tell that a bird is not a wild migratory one? sorry if this is a bit of a lame question, but i really dont know this.

Well , I can count atleast 12 that are domesticated mallards from the plumage Non migrating mallards become accustomed to humans, while the migratory flocks are leary of people still.

Very cool and funny shot, SW. I can just hear one of the ducks saying that.

Thanks Speed, I thought it was rather fun.
Notice the one jumped up on the seat - heading for the bagged loaf?

We all could - we named it "Sandra" after my sister-in law.
Loud, and continually giving the other birds a dose of the verbals.

Strange things are happening down there, in breeding, cross breeding, I'm not sure.
Several females with shorter than normal beaks, lighter brown than usual plumage, and higher pitched quacks.
I wonder if the Mandarin male down there has been active?
