I know I have not been posting much here. Been using more slide film and that slows down my turn around time on getting it back. Have been wanting to get a pic of one of these guys since I got my camera. It has taken me a little over a year, but I finally had success about two weeks ago.

You really nailed the third shot. It's bright and sharp.

What slide film are you using?

And for that matter, what camera and lens did you use for these?

Thanks, Speed. I have been trying for awhile now. It was shot on Velvia 400F slide film and I was using my Canon Rebel with my 2x teleconverter and 80-200 lens. With the loss of light I get from the 2x, I found I had to step up to the 400 speed for any bird pics. Since I don't have a fast lens and a non-Canon teleconverter, my AF does not work when using it so I have been having to practice manual focusing while I have been taking these pics.

Good captures , i 2 have been trying to capture a couple of Cardinal`s . Best i have got has been behind a window lol.
