He's Back.......Male Painted Bunting

Well the Male Painted Bunting has come back to my yard almost one year the the date. Hopefully the female will show up in the next week or so like last year.

Eric great images of a very colourful bird. When we were at the Corkscrew Swamp near Naples, there was supposedly one that frequents that area and they even have a feeder that it comes to, but we were not lucky enough to see it on our recent visit - maybe next time.

Beautiful captures, Eric. My females are no longer in my back yard, so I assume that they have continued their southern migration. I am still hopeful that some males will show up at my feeders.......

Now that's a backyard bird!
