Great Horned Owl with babies :-)
It’s been 8 day since I visited this Owl nest do to snow and wind.
I was very surprised to find such large babies.
The babys showed quite an interest in my arrival mom could care less they are ~80 foot up in the top of an old cottonwood tree..
300mm f4 +1.4x tele Sorry for the image quality, heavy crop and poor light.

I did not crop the last shot, just resized it, to show how far I really am from this nest.
MAN! I need a bigger lens.
Hope you enjoy them...Here's to better weather and light in the next few days.

Awesome, Bob! They're just darling!

Thanks Cara,
All I can hope for next time is better light since my vantage point is so far away and my glass is limited to 300+1.4.

Super images, Bob. Hope you can get more before the tree leaf's out and blocks your view.

Very nice Bob, must be a treat watching them.

The babies are so funny to watch.
They move their heads from left to right and back again.
It reminds me of an Egyptian Dance.
When I change positions, they are so inquisitive it's like
they are thinking...Heah Ma, can we eat that? LOL

These shots get better and better!
Once again, I looked all over this weekend at work for owls. No luck. I can see hawk nests up high, but nothing sticking up that I can see. :/
