    wetlands today

    I drove to the wetlands today for a short hike and photo ops.Had some decent results.

    LOL. Ok I know it has it's purposes, but until I can hire someone to carry something like that 400mm will have to do. I wonder how effective the camo neoprene was for him.

    Nice shots, looks like a fun walk.

    That's a 500F4 IS and camo on the lens helps alot with such a large lens for wildlife.

    Love the snapping turtle image... and, if you're gonna spend $5grand+ on a lens, why not save a little more and go for the 600mm f/4L??? My dream lens

    Great shots baldo, and yes the snapping turtle looks great, that head really shows some power behind that mouth!
    Copy your right about the 600mm lense, thats what dreams are made of! but i find my 100-400L with the 1.4TC is enough to handhold and carry around, as i hate tripods! my fun is doing the stalking and getting as close as possible to the subject, but i have to put my hands up all my lenses are covered in camo neoprene tape, really helps if your hiding up somewhere and theres not flashes of white lense every so often!
