Finall - the cardinal male is off my list for needing a better shot...

Let the better opportunities now begin lol.

Last night near dusk I was hearing my pretty red neighbor flitting aroundin teh trees doing his thing... calling the women... claiming his territory... and he landed directly above my head....twice.. in 2 different locations. My camera shutter jammed the first time and then the battery died on me the second time.. but each time I managed to squeeze off a few frames before encountering issues.

So here are my 2 best shots. The first one is cropped for presentation and the second one is shown full frame but with a lot of pp work to bring it back from a sillhouette.
