that photo is actual size he was huge(as far as butterflies go), scared me at first, the spots look like eyes lol
It's a moth, not butterfly. And you're right, it's a boy (feathery antennae). Been about for a while judging by that nick in the right wing. Yeah, the eyes have worked on the predator
