A flash of red

I got this shot of an agitated Ruby-crowned kinglet today. The bird was apparently upset by an orange-crowned warbler who had moved to the bush while foraging for food. The red patch is usually not visible on this bird unless the bird is provoked.

Great shot! Just one critique...clone out that hair thingy right above the red patch. Other than that, superp capture!

Great image ! have you ever seen a golden crowned kinglet get really PO'd... they have an orange crest in that gold :)

Post me a orange crowned warbler, since I have only seen one and it was very far off :(

Yes, I have seen the crest on the golden-crowned though it isn't something I have seen many times. This year we seem to have a very high number of golden-crowned kinglets for some reason. Last year I wasn't able to find a single one.
