First macro shots with Extension Tubes
Thursday I received a set of Kenko Extension Tubes in the mail.
Weather has been bad. 3 days of constant wind with gusts to 50 mph. So I am stuck with backyard shooting for now.
300mm f4 prime + 36mm
EXIF data attached to shot 2 if your interested in lens/camera settings.
Willow tree buds shot from 6 foot away.

Gorgeous. The 300mm f4 with extension tubes is my favorite for macros.

Just Beautiful !
Dang that lens is sharp !!
Re: First macro shots with Extension Tubes
Those are stunning shots, thanks for posting them. I've finally gotten a prime macro although I've yet to try it out properly. After seeing these I hope to get out with it soon.

Thanks for the kind words folks,
I owe it all to Loupey's Extension tube sticky.

and the PP help I received in the software forum. I can't wait to get out and shot
some creepy crawly's
If you like to shoot closeups, tubes really are a great fun per $$$ spent.
I believe I paid $126 shipped. You get 3 different size tubes that can be used on any of your existing lenses.
Re: First macro shots with Extension Tubes
Very sharp, Bob. Nice job.
Re: First macro shots with Extension Tubes
Beautiful. I think I have put off ordering a 300mm f/4 for too long...

And you can also stack tubes, so you have even more options than the three sizes :)
