Chicago Botanic Gardens - Tulips

My ma and I decided to do a trip to the Botanic Gardens this afternoon. Got there around 5:30pm and left around 7pm. We haven't been there in years. I was surprised at the number of tulips still blooming.

If you live nearby, the majority of the irises are still closed, but are just about ready to open. Within a week they're going to be open I'd bet.

Nope, we saw people with tripods and monopods.

There's something about #9 that's really appealing to me. I don't know what it is. I think I would like the two purple half-tulips cropped out of the right side, though. Great colors.

I really like that one too, Opus. I think its a combination of the colors and the bokeh. The background look like a painting, while the tulips in the front look like a photo.

I was playing with my DOF and my often forgotten dof preview button with them (hmmm... what's this button and what does it do again? Oh! Yeah! Preview!).

I think your right about the crop though to get rid of the half tulips.
