    A few more photo's from the 8th.

Feel free to make your guesses as to the ID of the various avians.

    And A Few More...

    Last ones.....

Nothing special, but I did like the results from the D200.

First two and the last one are cropped.

Wow, your getting some great color out of that D200. Nice job. Paul is going to have to give you some kind of special birder badge if you keep this up.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Nice pics. The ducks are wood ducks -- the less colorful ones being female. I can't make out the next one. The seagull type birds that aren't are terns -- maybe Royal terns -- and the browm ones that look like crows a little are grackles -- female or juvenile.

It is an awesome image capturing machine, that is for sure. These were shot with my 80-200mm f2.8 @ 200mm, 1/320 sec @ f 4, ISO 100, WB set to Direct Sunlight, and Optimize Image set to Vivid. I certainly cannot complain about the results.

    ;-)

As for the special birder badge, Paul has already told me to go back to film....

    :-O

"-- the less colorful ones being female."

Correct on both counts my friend!

I believe the terns are Lesser Terns, but that's just a guess. I am not a birder by any means...

Close .. no such bird as a lesser tern that I know of, but they are LEAST TERNS.

The group of birds below the wood ducks are moorhens, notice the grey chest
