    wild sweetpeas color variations

Have I actually ever posted pics in NAW?
Since these are wild flowers I figured this was where they should be posted.
I'm a bit disappointed in the purplest ones because of the bird poop but I was having no luck cloning it or spot healing so left it in.....it is nature, si!

Are you sure these are sweetpea? They look like a phlox to my highly untrained eye. I probably just have never seen the wild variety (or if I did, I probably thought they were phlox!).

I was told that's what they are but thanks to your question, I looked 'em up and you're right.
Not wild sweetpeas and probably a type of phlox.

    I actually ID'd something right?!?

I was at work so I didn't actually comment before since my cube's monitor colors are off a bit. Really love the second one. Definitely my favorite.

These are really beautiful shots, Frog. Great colours and sharpness.

#3 is my favorite. Awesome contrast between bright flowers and dark background.

#2---maybe a slightly lower shooting angle?

    Great work!

My wife also likes 3 the best but its my least fav because of the bird doo, though I am pleased with how I was able to get the flowers to stand out against the dark bg.
I think you are right about a slightly lower angle on the second but it was hard to get to and is shot almost directly overhead.
The first one stood out more on my screen before I downloaded it.....not sure why it doesn't here.
