For the past week I've been standing at my daughter's school bus stop in the mornings looking at all the beautiful cherry tree leaves which had recently fallen. So this morning before leaving for work, figured I better see if there is anything unique I can photograph before they lose their colors.
After several minutes of wading through the eye-popping colors for that one leaf (sort of like going through a giant bowl of skittles and trying to find the perfect colored skittle), I found this one non-perfect one. Despite the fact that I don't like moving subjects or altering the soundings, this leaf was so unique to me that I ended up carrying it around and trying it in different settings.
Also a good chance to try out the new 50mm f/1.4 lens.

With colors like these, I guess I shouldn't be trying to go away to find subjects. Perhaps tomorrow I will use the tripod and the 180mm macro to try to improve on them.
Thanks for looking.
