    Dolphin at Seaworld
We did the Seaworld thing yesterday and about 10 min into the park I realized that I forgot my backup battery.....of course I realized this as my in camera battery dieid on me. So I was reduced to shooting with a point and shoot for the rest of the day.

We found an underwater viewing area to watch the dolphins and fortunately we were there near the end of the day so I wasn't fighting people to get a decent shot. Took a bit of patience but eventually the dolphins cooperated and gave me the shot I was looking for.

I thought this was going to be just a dolphin jumping out of the water... this is much better! Really cool looking image!

Thanx guys. I had the Camera set on ISO mode (higher ISO no flash) and yeas I was shooting through glass (unless they have learned how to make transparent aluminum form Star Trek =P ) The image was originally foggy from the glass but with a slight levels and curve adjustment you can remove any haze from the glass.

Bev - the light rays were the whole reason I stood motionless for about 15 minutes solid waiting for the other people in the room to get the heck out of my way lol. I have a few others of my wife standing at the window with dolphins swimming past but with the P&S she ended up being the main focus and the Dolphins ended up fuzzy.

Thanks for the comments folks. Turns out this vacation is becoming a 2 week seminar on the ins and outs of photography. I have about 40 different birds that Paul is going to have to ID for me because I still have been to lazy to go out and get a field guide lol.

Sunday is looking good.. Stewart is my Driver too. Junior is the wife's driver....so we won't talk about that =P.

If you check the seating chart we're sitting in the Seagrave tower right at the exit from pit road so we're in good position for shots if he clmbs the fence for sure. A win would sure propel him into the season with good momentum. He won his duel 150 so he's in the 2nd row. Too bad about Gordon lol.... sucker. I saw him getting teh news about starting at the back of the pack last nigh.. "So Jeff how do you fel about NASCAR's decision to start you fo teh back of the field"......Jeff says "Are you serious?.....Well thats gonna suck!" lol

We wanted to do the shootout or some of the duels but we had to do a lot of stuff for te kids first and for my mother in law who will be siting for us while we're at the race. Sacrifices must be made...... so that I don't hear every 5 laps "Dad I wanna go home now."
