A cold, blustery November day at the beach

I went out looking to add to my bird list today, and I did slightly, but it was SO windy, rainy, cloudy, sleety (ya, I know...probably not a word), and generally crappy, that most of the birds were in hiding. So I took this sequence at the breakwater in Port Burwell, Ontario. That lighthouse is about 20 ft tall or so. I would have has someone stand under it to give it some scale, but I couldn't get any volunteers. Lake Erie on one of her cranky days. Not really angry, just cranky.

NOTE: This was taken with the 400mm from a fair distance back on the breakwater, handheld. I was happy not to go in the drink it was so windy...

    Cheers,

    R.

WTP07, great images. Having lived in London ON for a few years I know how cranky Lake Erie can get. If these were mine, I would be thinking about framing the first or second one.

I think a Triptych would be terrific of 3,4,5, or 6 would be lovely.

The Black and white nails it for me.

    Excellent photos.

Awesome series. I like the 2nd to the last one.

Makes me glad I winterized the boat this past weekend.

I like the coloured one, but then I am a bit biased - colour has always been my preference - don't know why - just is...
