    When 2 Predators Meet

... the outcome is usually not pretty.

Found this dragonfly originally caught early in the morning yesterday when it was still green. But the location was horrible and didn't have good light on it until the sun reached the right angle (around 2 pm). By then, the green had disappeared as did most of the yummy juices.

I include a B&W conversion here to see how you like it compared to the color version. To me, the B&W conveys a life-and-death feel to it. But I think the spider is lost amidst the dragonfly.

    Re: When 2 Predators Meet

I know you're not 100% behind this, but I would have hit it with a little of my carry around light earlier in the day. Many time I find the little things are in dark areas. That little bit of flash does two things It increase the DOF by letting me use a smaller aperture and it many time darkens a distracting background.

I like the color version here much better than the b&w. The two critters seem to blend a little too much in the second version.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

I think the spider does indeed get lost in the BW version. The BW version looks like something out of a science textbook. Lol. Great shot!

Sorry, but the B&W looks like an Xray and I honestly have trouble making out the spider in the color image.
