    daddylonglegs, and a water strider.

I know, it's pathetic that I am only halfway through my shots from this summer, but these days the weather is too cold for most of what I like to shoot. Maybe january will have me out hunting for birds in flight, but for now it's all photoshop, all the time.

here's some from a better place, warmer weather, and good times. only PP is levels, curves, light cropping of the strider (it was the smallest one around, the big ones just kept getting away from me) and some sharpening. These were pretty good right out of the camera, one of the reasons they were put on processing hold...

    Erik.

Beautiful shots, you tempt me to try insects. Of course any I'd find now would be frozen solid but....someday!

Harvestman, and a pond skater, nicely captured.

Both nice - but I love the 2nd!

The surface tension effect is nicely captured as is the reflection of its "face". Having it against the dark part of the reflection while facing into the direction of the light part is perfect. Have you any more from this series?

I see some ideas on processing here - I will log off for now and have at your image!
