    Today's raptor shot

    It's that time of year again around here...the hawks are migrating, some to here, some further south. This guy was doing some hunting before moving on. I regularly see harriers in this field throughout the winter...but this RT was ruling the roost this afternoon.



    Now that the crazy summer baseball season is over, I get to spend some time with my other obsessive, ridiculously expensive hobby...

    Great shot. I like seeing the highlights with the angle of the sunshine. It really gives you a good look at the primary flight feathers.
