It was about this time last year when I posted a pair of mallards perched up in a tree. Didn't know at that time if that was a common occurrence for mallards.

Apparently it was not and I regretted not getting a better shot then.


Well I found this pair in the exact same tree. Since this massive tree is in the middle of a protected marsh, this was the closest I could get. It was extremely windy that day and the mallards, especially the male, had a hard time staying on. The 500mm is like a windsock btw and wants to stay pointed exactly downwind.
