Hummingbirds are about the coolest little birds! I love images of them, but must admit they are hard to ID sometimes( for me atleast). Your's are typical males, so that makes it less of a challenge.

Lovely picture. Gee, Can I go back to San Louis Obispo, CA one day and take pictures of humming birds too, its the only place I have been and watched them in the wild, having their breakfast while I sipped coffee in the morning sunshine.

Nice shot! I love humingbirds too. We have one that hums around our backyard and will fly right up to you and check you out. Not sure if he's saying "hi" or looking for a flower to get nectar from. Either way, it's a cool experience every time :)

Well, set up a nectar feeder already pal. you can get images of them with a 200-300mm on film if you use a release and tripod ;)
