    Ladybird macro

A couple of shots of a Ladybird taken with my homemade macro lens ( a Canon 35-80 with the front element removed)

    Re: Ladybird macro

Excellent! That first shot is terrific.

How did you hear about this technique? How far is your resulting shooting distance? Can you show us the rig?

Thanks for sharing and hopefully other people can modify some existing gear as an alternative to buying a "macro" lens.

    What's a Loupe for anyway?

    Love both of them.

I also second Loupey's request that you tell us more about your homemade macro lens

Real nice results, i've never heard of that lens conversion method. Tell us how it's done?

I too would love to hear about how you removed the front element and the resulting benefits.
