    Conservatory with Loupey!

So this is long overdue, but! I went and met up with Loupey and he introduced me to the amazing conservatory. First time shooting butterflies but it was an awesome learning experience. I also got to try out extension tubes, which inspired me to buy a set also. So here they are!

this one is used with an extension tube

    OMGAR it's loupey!

Looking good, Victor! Would suggest a bit post-processing though.

So, moving on to lesson 2 : "Swallows in Flight" ?

like, what would you change about the pics, like tones or what. I cropped them a bit, but other than that, didn't change tone or anything. I need to learn!!!!! teach me!!!!

and also, lesson two would require a dedicated 400mm lens, which I do not have... -___- because I am a poor college student, maybe I will be able to after a couple of weddings hehe

In the case of the first photo, adjust with Levels to enhance the contrast. Try that with other photos, too, and see if you like the result.

It also looks like to me there's still room for a bit more cropping re the 1st one.

    Nice shooting, Victor!

I really like #3 - was that with the 50mm/tube combo or your Sigma? It's a bit dark but that makes it moody. I like the wing position and how it draws the eye downwards.

Lovely shadows of the one on my back. Nice job with that as the sunlight on my light shirt made it a bit tricky.

    What's a Loupe for anyway?

ACTUALLY, i think the second one is the only one with the tubes, the third one was taken with the sigma...but, yea, i will put up some tube photos once school ends... oh and, the last one was suppose to be a candid, but after looking, the shadow from the butterfly is really cool
