i'm pretty sure i haven;t posted this shot on this forum yet. if so forgive me.

i really like this shot, but some people say that i should have included the tip of the tail. but it doesn't bother me, and i wanted to keep his body aligned in the frame as it currently is.

nice red eft...for some reason all of my shots of those have no tail tip too..therefor, i recommend clipping the tail as a matter of course.

thats not a red eft though, what is it? i have a few pictures of red efts (in pittsburgh) that don't have clipped tails but i really like the background of this one... plus the other ones are bad specimens and have gunk on them (i think it was liek a spiderweb or something).

Dylan, I may be wrong but they both look like red spotted salamanders(red eft) to me. Your's look young , while the other looks to be closing in on 3 and getting ready to go back to the water

oh yeah the adult stage, i've only seen ones that look like mine, and smaller. :-D thanks for clearing that up
