    Brown Thrasher take II
Shot these tonight at last light. Diffused flash, manual mode at higher speed. I really don't like flash photography with wildlife, but at least I got a few decent shots. Very timid bird.

I must confess that I'm not a big fan of flash for wildlife either. However, these images wouldn't have the zip/pop without it.

    I like #2.

One has to do something to get this good of contrast and clarity with these types of birds. Good work.

Are you using the 580 or 550 flash with the Mark II?

These images wouldn't look as nice without the flash. Proper flash use can make an image, but inproper flash use can RUIN an image.
