Brown Creeper

I've been trying for years to get some decent shots of these elusive little birds, but they tend to always be in dark shadowed places, and they move constantly. Well, I finally found one in the light.



While I was watching the Creeper, we heard a Merlin call, and the Creeper tucked herself into under the bark as if hiding. Maybe it was just coincidence and she was just looking under there for bugs -- she didn't stay there for long, but she did stay still long enough for me to get this shot.

Good attempt on these photographes. You may want to invest into a better telephoto lenes, as they'll give you a sharper image and more flexibility because they focus quicker then standard lenes.

If you only have a simple point and shoot camera, you'll have to get a lot closer and stake out a spot were you know that you'll see them perch.

great find on the creeper who is a ever moving small bird that isn't easy to capture.
