    Downside Robin #2

    Hi everyone,
Here's another shot of my little friend. I didn't do a lot this time.
I just pushed the colours and the contrast and cropped it a bit using 'Serif'.
    Cheers,
    Bren.

I think you could apply a little bit of sharpening to the bird. It would also help if you had shot it at a lower perspective. Colors and details look pretty good.

Good points by both AgingEyes and Paul, I totally agree with them.

It seems like the camera focused on the bird's feet instead of the face. A little post-sharpening might help, or if the robin is a regular, why not simply reshoot and get better perspective too? Nice background and contrast, you're ok there. Cute little bird!

If you are having trouble obtaining precise focus, try closing down the lens aperture a bit (larger f-number), to obtain more depth-of-field.

Very cute bird, it's nice having regulars to practice on isn't it?

Hi Everyone, and once again, thanks for finding time to look and for your comments/advice. You're quite right, the focus is slightly adrift. I tried sharpening it a little but as the bad bits got better, the good bits got worse, so I settled for what I had in the first place!
I don't think there was much wrong with the way the camera was set up as I took a lot of shots of this chap in quick succession without altering anything and most of the others are OK. I think it's more likely that I simply missed the target a bit with this one!
I'll upload another one shortly. He seems to be popular!
    And yes Scott-Devon, It's a real help!

A Happy Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year to you all.
