I was at my local state park (again,) standing with a group of tourists, had already stated that I was a local, and was asked, "What do you call those birds with the weird beaks?"

"Skimmers."

"Why?"

At that very instant they swooped down and showed us why. I laughed and said, "Any more questions?"
