Here are a handful of MANY images from yesterday's trip. We were, of course, primarily after the American Crocodile, but captured many bird images as well. No pink Flamingos, though. They actually have wild ones down there, but we didn't see any yesterday. Most of these birds live in my area as well, although the Purple Gallinule resides primarily South and East of my location in SW Florida:
Wood Stork - Captured with Canon 40D, Canon 70-200 set at 110mm. f/2.8, 1/1000, ISO 640. Needless to say I was extremely close to him.
Black Neck Stilt. Canon 1DsMII, Canon 600mm f/4L, f/4, ISO 400, 1/2500
Double Breasted Cormorant. Canon 40D, Canon 70-200 f/2.8L at 80mm, f/5.6, ISO 640, 1/2000. I was really close to this one too.
Green Heron. He was flaring up his feathers because a small Gator was heading his way! Canon 1DsMII, Canon 600mm f/4L, 1/125, f/14
Purple Gallinule. Canon 1DsMII, Canon 600mm f/4L, f/5, ISO 400, 1/125
