Bird how to...lol
Ok, so yesterday in the park, I tried shooting a bird. the sun low and off to the side. The bird was dark, too dark to rescue even. My question is, if you are within flash range, do you use it for fill?

For me, if it gets the shot -- I use the flash. Otherwise, you have nothing. I'm no pro though....
If the bird is large enough, use a spot meter... Or, over-expose the shot a stop or two...

post the image, WHO CARES about quality ;)
FLASH AS MAIN usually looks fake, as does too much fill. With that said, even flash as main can look AMAZING once you master flash usage ;) flash is not easy to MASTER, atleast for me .
I use flash as fill between 0EV and -2EV , but it all depends on the scene.
