    Bath time
    Found her on my morning drive today. Not the most flattering portrait, but not somthing you see everyday. :)

    Wow Michael...great capture...the deer were out hot and heavy yesterday morning. Kim and I saw 2 herds on the way to Dubuque. We did manage to get a few shots, but they are too far away to be very interesting. Our zooms will be in tomorrow...maybe we'll be able to get some nice shots. What lens did you use to get this shot?

    Hey Ken,

    I used my Sigma 170-500mm for this shot. There were 3 deer in this group and I found them laying down in a little area of woods inside the city limits here. I have a blind set up not too far from this spot, but I haven't tried using it yet. I want to let it sit for a while to let the critters get use to it, and I want the weather to be a little warmer too. :)

    Very unusual shot not taken from a blind. Looking forward to see some from your vantage point once the deer get used to it.

    I like the frame idea, but the interior b/w border seems overdone and does not balance well.

    Any more from this moment?

    Thanks for the comments drg. I agree with you on the frame. I like it on some pics, but it's just not working on this one. As requested, here are a few more images of this deer.
