Barred Owls

Barred Owls at John Chesnut Park in Pinellas County, Florida.

This is the best place in west-central Florida for finding these owls. They are one of the few owls that call during daylight hours. There is at least a pair or possibly two pairs in this park. This park is mostly swamp land with board walks running through it.

I love the different facial gestures you captured the owl making and the exact progression you showed. Great framing and shot selection.

You're so lucky to just get a glimpse at owls..... they're sort of scarce around here, or at least I never seem to get lucky enough to see any of the elusive buggers, LOL. Your shots are fabulous!
