I don't think there is anything wrong with portrait landscapes... beautiful shot's (all of them are)! I really enjoy seeing the western bluebirds!

    Great shots of the Canyon...

We stopped by there on our drive home from CA..Snowed like crazy and foggy as anything ..Needless to say my shots there were not so great.

Outstanding shots of the GC and BD. I have only been there once. I was just awed by it all when I got my first look at the GC. Unfortunately all I had was a disposable 35mm and a 2MP point and shoot. Weather on the rim can be unpredictable. Did you experience any funny weather while visiting the Canyon?

I love that first image of the 2nd set (with the bare tree)!

I've been "here" for almost 35 years and have never visited the West (I have flown over GC at 35,000 feet - but those don't count :) ). I fear I would never come inside and die of "exposure" somewhere out there!

Nice job. Looks like you and your wife had an outstanding time.
