Assorted Macros
Took a few macro shots in my yard today.... which is BURSTING with bug-life! Winter is LONG gone... :)
All MF, as I found the AF to very obviously front-focus at such close shooting distance from the subjects.

#2. Buggy pair.
Spotted a pair of tiny buggies (approx 2mm long each), wildly racing around on a dandelion flower, and at the same time, um, "pumping". :D

Yes, for some I was lying completely down on the grass, but fortunately not out in a public place... :p
Thanks for looking.

Re: Assorted Macros
Great macro work. My favorites are #1 and #3... giant flies always look cool to me :) Thanks for sharing!

Re: Assorted Macros
Nice work. I have a hard time doing macros outside where I cannot control the environment. - TF

Re: Assorted Macros
I love the first and the last. The clarity of the eyes and the hair is remarkable.
The Bleeding hearts are a variety I have not seen before. We have 3 types in our garden out back but not that particular species.

Re: Assorted Macros
I like the last one. Good color and details in the flowers. Oof background creates the feel of the image.

Re: Assorted Macros
Thanks everyerone.
Jaedon, I haven't "confirmed" that these are bleeding hearts. Someone only commented that they were.

I believe they were correct. There's about 15 species and I have only seen 6 or 7 of them. Anything with a heart shaped flower hanging below the stem will be called a bleeding heart. There's also different names for the types... we have one called a "bleeding prince" or something like that. I just think they're cool looking and different from those I have seen.
