    Hmm.. not like any aphids I have ever seen. You usually find aphids in large numbers (and on my rose bushes dangit! lol) and they are all green and almost translucent from the ones I have seen.

    The other one, I have seen those a lot and I always just thought they were some sort of moth.

    yeah that looks like it... still doesn't look like it has a sucking mouthpart like the piciture on the right does though.

    Well it's an "ambush bug" and I do believe it's a Phymata erosa

    After seeing that linked picture, I too would say shots 1&2 are of an assassin bug. First capture for me. Thanks for the input guys.:D
