    Another swallow that flies
There were about ten of them flying over the pond, which filled up better now after the rain. Caught a flying one.

Definately not an easy image to take. Great job.

Very nice catch. Love the way it shows all the colour banding on the tail and around the eyes.

    Great photo!

The swallow is sharply focused, good job.
I know from personal experience that such a picture of a flying bird is hard to get.

Can you tell me how you did it (focus)?

AF constant? Huge DoV? One spot and waited 'til one got there? 22,000 pics and this one worked?

Aaahh...not sure I understand some of the abbreviations you use. But, I can tell you that, as far as I can remember now, it was taken with AF in continuous mode. I track and pan, not pre-focus and wait. Since I started trying to capture swallow in flight a few months ago, I don't think I have taken 22,000 shots :) May be between 100 to 500? Just guessing. Most of them are big time failures :mad2:

I have yet to get the one I'm after. But it could be too late now and have to wait for next year. This one actually is quite a big crop :blush2:

    Thanks for the comments, guys!
