WoW! Nice shots, and you sure nailed that red wing.
I am originally from Maryland, and lived on the Eastern shore for 3/12 years. Nice shots of home.
Have you been to the pony penning? I have, and hated it, LOL.
But Assateague is lovely, and wild. Again, lovely work.

    Thanks Knight & Tracy...

Knight, luckily for me, my husband is understanding of my obsessive picture-taking...hehe. I had the camera with me every time we went out...it was a blast.

Tracy...I haven't been to the pony penning...it doesn't sound like something I'd want to see, by the sounds of it! But yes, Assateague is just gorgeous.

Well at least now you're in the "right" forum

Great shot of the RW Blackbird in flight. I've been planning to take one of those myself.

Thanks Loupey... The blackbird shots make me laugh, because my hubby was actually driving slowly along at the time, and he'd stop when we'd see one by the side of the road, and every time say "oh, look - it's the ELUUUUSIVE redwinged blackbird"...hehe.
It's one of those, you had to be there things...but it let me get the shots!

    Thanks Paul.

I knew the gull and blackbird, but I wasn't sure on the willet...last year when we went, I couldn't get a good shot of the willets to save my life. It was the mysterious little brown bird at that point.

It really is amazing how nature ever ready to us subject for photography. I like the redwinged-black bird in flight.
