    We refer to vultures as buzzards in the US, I think that's what confused HB.

    English is a great language; don't forget, your wonderful American language is derived from it. I am glad, though, that we have hansom and well formed, petite, and agile buzzards in the UK, instead of the great big, ugly, buzzards that you have over in the States ... but hey, we all have to get by! Isn't photographing wildlife such a worthwhile pass time? I wish we had wolves, bear and moose running wild in the UK, though. :-D

    On this subject - here are some African Buzzards captured in their home ranges - Jackal Buzzard, Steppe Buzzard and Forest Buzzard - Your Buzzard looks similar to the Steppe and Forest Buzzards who in turn are clearly similar and really only discernible from each other by the habitat in which they are found. Enjoyed reading the link concerning buzzards in the UK - thanks.
