LOL)I have had a casual love of photography for years, but started getting more serious about the hobby when I got my Olympus C-5050Z as part of my 10 year anniversary gift from my employer (my wifes idea). I recently decided to concentrate more on the hobby, with the nagging idea that it could become a "2nd career" after I retire. (Not that I plan on retiring before at least another decade or two, but it never hurts to be prepared just in case...) In the Fall of 2005 I took an on-line course through our local community college and upgraded to my Canon DSLR (my first SLR camera ever!). I love it and it rarely leaves my side. I have been known to stop the car at the side of the road to snap off a few shots of something that catches my eye. (Hence the window pod - instant stability unless the wind is too strong, which happens here in Central Illinois.) My current "project" is to document some of the old barns in the area before they fall prey to the developers axe.
