I was born in North Georgia and have lived there most all of my life. I am a father to three kids. Back surgery has put an end to most all of my hobbies but photography. I find it a good way to cope with stress and also to express myself.

I started out taking pictures on a Diana camera that I bought for 99 cents and two cereal box tops. The next couple of years I had a 110 Instamatic, a Yashica range finder, a Yashica Matt and then bought my first real camera, it was a Nikon F 35mm with FTN meter and have since added another one and several lenses and flashes. I changed to digital after retirement and started out with the Nikon D80. Since them I added a Nikon D90 and in April of 2011 added a Nikon D7000.
Over the years I have taken several weddings and various other things along the way. When I retired in 2004 I decided to get into photography much deeper and have been trying to learn as much as I can. I have learned a lot and one of the things is just how much more there is out there to learn, Jeff
I work in Computing as a Solution Architect and the photography is purely amature status - poor at times. Joined this site to get constructive critisism of photos so that I can improve.

Born in 1962, and no, dinosaurs did not roam the earth back then - despite what my children think. I've been interested in photography for some time, but didn't get my first SLR until Christmas 2001. I'm having a blast, and I'm always trying to learn and improve. My favorite subjects are my lovely wife and landscapes of my home county.
I have four Holgas, that I LOVE! They are fun cameras that everyone should have!
I recently purchased a Voigtlander Bessa R2A, with 25mm, 35mm and 75mm lenes
