Just ranting about AceFTP and Visicommedia

I just bought AceFTP/AceHTML Pro from Visicommedia.com, and it took 20 minutes just to get a confirmation e-mail. It's been an hour now, and still no e-mail with download link and registration codes. I've got the now expired trial version so I really need the license codes so I can ftp our new webmaster all the needed content to set up our new website. I could be wrong, but this is the first buy and download site I've had this much wait time with. C1Pro, ACD systems, Breezesys, all were instantaneous buy and download. Any one out there have this problem with Visicommedia? I love the software but this is NOT a good way to do business on the web IMHO.

Update: I got the e-mail registration codes!!! yayyyy. Only took 1 hour and 19 minutes for an e-mail with two registration codes, and no links to the downloads-can you believe? It's really great software, but the support is looking shaky.

If in a situation like this you don't get the confirmation/download emails immediately, it likely means one of two things:

1) Someone is manually going through the orders and sending the emails by hand. This would boggle my mind as a gross model of inefficiency, but hey, anything's possible with some tech companies out there.

2) Their system has a cron job setup to process orders in batches once every hour or so. Basically this means there's a script that runs at a set time and does the emailing. This is much more likely.

Of course, it could just be that their internal system was down for a bit.

I bought both those, tried them now never use them, there are much better software around that doesn't contain french coding in them, which to me was a real bug bear to deal with, unless you can read french.

I use WS-FTP and Dreamweaver, no more no less.
