Help Me Be Found in Cyberspace!
I am having trouble being located on the second site I have recently made.
As You Wish Wed
I have done the exact things to this site as I have done with my personal site, meta tags, desctription, keywords, etc. But the site is nowhere to be found on any search engines.
I am using the following words for a description: Custom Wedding Veils, Persoanlized Wedding Veils, Hand Crafted Wedding Veils, Wedding Planning, Salt Lake City, Utah">
For the meta tags, I am using the same words in the same order, but repeated many times over.
I have also let Google know that the site is out there too.
I am trying to do this site on a budget, so is there anything else I can do?
Thanks!!

Re: Help Me Be Found in Cyberspace!
Brian, I don't know what I can do for you, but I do have a couple of friends who work for Google. I just sent one of them a copy of your post, and asked if they could give us some tips on how to get the site googled. I will let you know by pm if I receive any helpful info. :)

Re: You ROCK Lara!
Brian, if you've got friends with websites.....
Beg all your friends to put a link to your site on their site, *somewhere*. Google prioritizes sites in relation to how many links there are to your site on other people's pages. That's how they accomplished that thing where if you type in "Weapons of Mass Destruction" you get that mock "401-Not Found" page.
And I don't think it takes *all that many* before it bumps you near the top --- maybe 25 or so...?

Hmmmmmmm!?
That is interesting information Kelly,,,,
That is a difference in my site and this one.
I have my site linked on several sites.
I have added this site on my links page.
Anybody out there getting married soon and need a really great wedding veil?
Check out As You Wish Wed
Thanks Kelly!

Re: Hmmmmmmm!?
One of the things to remember Brian, with new sites, they sometimes take time to propagate around to the servers as well and also need to be roboted by the search engines as well.
When you are trying to find your site, how are you searching for it, syntax wise in the search, it often has a lot to do with that as well.
I just looked at the page and I think you need to split up your meta tag info into seperate words as well as multiple words for search engines to get more hits on your meta data info.
Also you seem to be repeating your meta data info a little bit over the top as well, like
Custom wedding veils, Personalized Wedding Veils
Custom wedding veils, Personalized Wedding Veils
Custom wedding veils, Personalized Wedding Veils
Custom wedding veils, Personalized Wedding Veils
Custom wedding veils, Personalized Wedding Veils
Custom wedding veils, Personalized Wedding Veils
Custom wedding veils, Personalized Wedding Veils
Custom wedding veils, Personalized Wedding Veils
Custom wedding veils, Personalized Wedding Veils
Custom wedding veils, Personalized Wedding Veils
Custom wedding veils, Personalized Wedding Veils
and that is just copied directly out of your Key Words Meta data line.
There are more and more of these in the above and following lines as well, which might be part of the problem overall.

Re: Hmmmmmmm!?
I did that Pete in hopes of catching the search engines, but I guess it isn't or doesn't work.
When I do a search, I type in the words in the meta tag, I have even put Utah or Salt Lake City on the end of that, to narrow my search, but nothing.
Thanks for the infor Pete, I'll see what I can do?

Re: Hmmmmmmm!?
Brian, keep in mind that the Google programmers are well aware of the tricks people use to get their pages near the top in Google. I might be wrong on this as I heard it several years ago already, but I think that adding *so many* of the same keywords is a negative point for the Google algorhythm.
Some info (yes, I googled this) :)
