Would a few people email me some digital photographs for test?
I was going to go out and buy myself a digital camera with 6 mp or higher, possbly 10mp if budget allows (wife). Upgrading from 3 mp. Before I go and make this purchase, I was wondering if some people would email me a few pictures from a digital camera that is 6 mp or higher only. I am hoping that the camera that the pictures are sent from is set to ultra fine resolution and that there is an assortment of photos such as landscape etc. I will be using a 50 inch moniter to compare your pictures to my own pictures taken with my 3mp camera.
If you send, please zip or resize pictures so email won't reject them.

    Thanks for any assistance.

Check the gallery. There are lots of full-resolution images there. You can also search it by camera. I post full-resolution studio tests for all cameras we do pro reviews on. Here's a link to all of those studio tests:

And here's a link to the gallery search page, where you'll find a camera dropdown that allows you to browse the gallery by camera:

    Hope that helps!

Wow, you have a 50 inch computer monitor? What is the manufacturer and model? Just curious.

Even if I compressed the files for you, I couldn't email you a LARGE/FINE file from either of my 6mp or 8mp DSLRs. It's pretty big. Resizing the picure will negate the purpose of comparison.

If it helps, I would never zoom in and crop on small subjects with my 6mp DSLR but I can with my 8mp DSLR. There is no doubt in my mind that more MP is better.

Sony SXRD. Not really a moniter, but thats what I use in office for sales meetings.

Please send me one pic if possible. resize down to about 6mp will be ok. Just want to see how much better it will look on SONY SXRD compaired to old camera.

Thanks Photo-John..but I was hoping for a few pics I can compair on a work moniter (50 inch) to photos taken with a 3mp camera. I need real photos. Could you send me just one or two. Those colored blocks are not what I currently need for my comparision, I was hoping for some landscapes.

    Thanks

Whoah...that Sony SXRD has a sexy name. Should be a sports car. It looks like HAL from the 2001 scifi movie.

I'll see what I can do but also look at Photo-John's info.
