    Lens help for Canon XSi

I have just purchased a Canon XSi camera body(have not yet received it) and would like to know if the camera lens which I have and used with my Pentax Super Program camera are compatible.
    The lens are as follows:
    1. SMC Pentax !:1.4 50 mm.
    2. Tamron 70-210 mm 1:4-5.6.
    3. 58mm Tiffen SKY 1-A, this lens also has markings "MC Auto Zoom CPC Phase 2 CCT.
Now what all this means I am not sure, not even sure why I bought this stuff as I did not find the time to use them. Anyway I am hoping that I can plug them into my new camera without buying any new lenses as these are like new.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. macguy

Re: Lens help for Canon XSi

No you won't be able to use Pentax K-Mount lenses on your new Canon digital body. All companies have their own propietary mounts. You could use your Pentax lenses on a Pentax digital body, since they have always had the same mount. If I were you, I would sell all the lenses on ebay, and buy a Canon 50mm 1.8. You can find them for 89.00 new, so that is a an excellent deal on a very good lens. Sorry about the lenses, but you have an awesome body on the way, you just won't be able to use it for awhile.
Hell, there are no rules here-- we're trying to accomplish something.
