other ways to get the memory card to download onto the computer..

When i put my picture card into the computer it doesn't do anything anymore? Is it the memory card or the computer? Is there a way to get the new pictures to download onto the computer?

So your computer don't recognize the memory card? Did it just start? How long have you used this card? Do you have another one it see if it works?

You can use the camera itself. If your camera came with a USB cord you can connect it to the camera and then to your computer.

BTW, what kind of card and camera?

    ...and computer (Windows or Mac)?

I'd guess there was a software update that changed an automatic setting. Personally, I use a card reader and manually download the images:

My Computer > (find the card which will show up as a drive, maybe E: or F > Copy (not move) images to wherever you need

If you have a PC the auto play is turned off or disabled. But you should be able to open the card from "my computer" and just select the files to transfer to your computer (Completely manual transfer)

I get that every once in a while on my PC. Restarting the PC usually fixes the problem for me.
